The Unaka Shooters team is sponsored by the Unaka Rod & Gun Club.

The team belongs to the Tennessee Scholastic Clay Target Program (TNSCTP), is organized under the auspices of the Tennessee Wildlife Federation and the Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP). It is a Trap, Skeet, and Sporting Clays shotgun shooting team for young people grades 3rd- 12th and college, male and female.

The practices are held Saturdays March through July (with optional practices on Thursday and Sunday nights).

Participants should provide their own shotgun. 12 gauge is the best, but 20 gauge is acceptable. The team has guns that may be used if someone would like to try but doesn’t own a gun. Participants will also need to purchase their clay targets and ammunition.
